Database Support Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

 Monitor and maintain NoSQL, Aerospike clusters, Postgres database for

performance and availability.

 Perform routine DBA activities: backups, restores, and health checks.

 Troubleshoot issues related to latency, throughput, replication, and data

consistency

 Manage cluster operations: node addition/removal, rebalancing, failover

handling

 Support production incidents, RCA preparation, and problem management

 Work on performance tuning (indexes, queries, memory usage, caching

strategies)

 Handle data migration, upgrades, and patching activities

 Monitor replication mechanisms

 Implement and maintain monitoring & alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana,

etc.)

 Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for deployment and issue

resolution

 Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks

Required Skill:

 Hands-on experience in managing the large NoSQL and Postgres database

 Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems

 Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Python)

 Understanding of distributed systems and NoSQL databases

 Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)

 Basic networking knowledge (ports, latency, throughput)

 Experience in handling production support (24x7 environment)

Good to Have:

 Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift / Docker

 Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

 Exposure to CI/CD pipelines

 Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR)

Education: Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.

Expereince :- 2-3 years

Additional Requirements:

 Willingness to work in rotational shifts / on-call support

 Experience in handling SLA-driven environments
