Requirement for Support Engineer
We are looking for a Support Engineer to provide production support for Java-based
microservices built using Quarkus and Apache Camel, deployed on Red Hat OpenShift
Container Platform (OCP) and exposed through 3scale API Management.
Experience 3 – 5 years
The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting production issues, resolving incidents, and
ensuring smooth API and microservices operations. The candidate should have experience
working in production support environments, with good knowledge of REST APIs, monitoring
tools (Loki, Grafana & Prometheus), and basic SQL queries for troubleshooting data-related
issues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Production support for Java Quarkus microservices integrated with Apache
Camel.
Monitor and troubleshoot applications deployed on Red Hat OpenShift Container
Platform (OCP).
Support and troubleshoot APIs managed through 3scale API Management.
Use Grafana dashboards and Prometheus metrics to monitor application health and
performance.
Investigate and resolve production incidents, alerts, and service disruptions.
Perform log analysis and debugging using application logs, container logs, and OpenShift
events.
Execute basic SQL queries to validate and troubleshoot data issues.
Work closely with L3 / development teams for complex issue resolution.
Participate in incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis
(RCA).
Support deployment validation and release activities.
Maintain runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge base articles.
