SAP ABAP Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for a strong, hands-on SAP ABAP / S/4HANA Technical Consultant with solid SAP FI/CO

knowledge. The candidate will independently drive S/4HANA CDS requirements end-to-end—from

requirement understanding and source-to-target mapping to CDS design, development, debugging, testing,

and validation. The selected candidate should be productive from Day 1, quickly understand the existing

S/4HANA landscape, and independently drive technical deliverables with minimal ramp-up.

Mandatory skills are mentioned below:

 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP / S/4HANA

 Strong hands-on SAP ABAP / ABAP Objects

 Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA

 Strong practical experience in CDS Views – Design & Development

 Hands-on ABAP development for SAP FI/CO requirements

 Strong understanding of S/4HANA Data Model & Universal Journal (ACDOCA)

 Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO processes – GL, AP, AR, Cost Center, Profit Center

& Asset Accounting

 Strong ABAP/CDS debugging & troubleshooting skills

 Experience in Source-to-Target Mapping and translating business requirements into

technical solutions

 Ability to work independently on CDS requirements end-to-end – requirement

analysis, development, debugging, testing & validation

 Technical ABAPer first with strong FI/CO development exposure

 Candidates with strong FI functional knowledge but limited hands-on ABAP/CDS

experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

 Drive S/4HANA CDS View requirements from requirement analysis through development, debugging,

testing, and validation.

 Work with SAP FI/CO, SAP Core Functions, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business

requirements into technical solutions.

SAP ABAP / S/4HANA CDS Consultant – FI/CO | Remote Position

 Identify relevant SAP tables, fields, joins, filters, calculations, and business logic and prepare source-to-

target mappings.

 Design and develop CDS Views for S/4HANA Finance and reporting/analytics requirements.

 Work with S/4HANA Finance data models, including Universal Journal / ACDOCA.

 Develop, enhance, and debug ABAP programs, Z programs, reports, BAdIs, user exits, and other custom

developments.

 Analyze existing ABAP/CDS logic and troubleshoot technical and data-related issues.

 Validate CDS output against SAP transactional data and Finance business processes.

 Support Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.

 Work with Analytics/Data teams to reconcile SAP data with downstream reporting platforms.

Must-Have Skills

 Strong hands-on SAP ABAP / ABAP Objects experience.

 Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience.

 Strong practical experience in CDS View design and development.

 Good understanding of S/4HANA data models and Universal Journal / ACDOCA.

 Hands-on ABAP development experience supporting SAP FI/CO requirements.

 Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO processes such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP),

Accounts Receivable (AR), Cost Center, Profit Center, and Asset Accounting.

 Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

 Ability to perform source-to-target mapping and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills

 AMDP, OData, and ABAP on HANA.

 ODP, SLT, SAP BW extractors, or CDS-based extraction.

 Strong SQL knowledge.

 Experience with ECC to S/4HANA migration/modernization.

 Exposure to Databricks, Power BI, or enterprise analytics platforms.
